The journey to a good symphonic writing is long and requires criteria to study the right source of sounds that you are looking for. This blog is dedicated to those who want to understand the musical techniques and mind of the man which I consider to be the best film music composer of all times - John Williams.
In the following posts, I am going to share with you some of my conclusions I have discovered while profoundly studying the Jonh Williams film scores. These discoveries came to my mind one by one in each section of careful study of the full scores of the composer in question. It was not easy and took me a fair amount of time until the first techniques started to make sense to me.
As far as I know, this “sort of thinking music” is not widely spread in the normal academic classes and this is why I decided to develop a blog and book that are entitled:
"The John Williams Film Music Techniques".
